The GBBCC mission is to provide support and leadership for the growth and development of black owned and operated businesses and to advocate for economic empowerment in the African American Community in the Greater Metropolitan Area.
The Baltimore County African American Cultural Festival is free annual event for all ages which delivers wholesome family entertainment and an educational exhibition of the rich African American heritage in Baltimore County. The festival was founded in 1996 by Maryland State Delegate and Speaker Pro-Tem, Adrienne Jones. The event is free of charge for attendees, family-oriented and located on the streets surrounding the Towson Courthouse Plaza.
Intersection of Change (formerly Newborn Holistic Ministries) is a community-based nonprofit focused on community development in west Baltimore. The organization is dedicated to providing programs that enrich the economic, social and spiritual lives of those dealing with poverty related issues in the Sandtown-Winchester and surrounding communities.
Strength to Love II:
BPM members serve as mentors and as role models for young African-American men primarily in and around the Baltimore metro region. Members are also active in other mentoring programs, conduct speaking engagements across the state, and serve on non-profit boards aimed at helping develop the African-American community.
Morgan Entrepreneur Alumni Chapter
To maintain a network of MSU Alumni Entrepreneurs for business opportunities and to serve as a resource for entrepreneurial development for students, the overall University and the surrounding community.
The Greater Baltimore Leadership Association (GBLA) was launched in February 2002 as the Young Professionals’ Auxiliary of the Greater Baltimore Urban League, under the tutelage of President/CEO J. Howard Henderson. The organization was created to support the objectives of the Greater Baltimore Urban League, as it endeavors to improve the quality of life for African-Americans and other minorities in Baltimore City and its surrounding counties.
The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is owned and managed by its members. With more than 30,000 members around the world, NSBE is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE’s mission is “to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.”
Arts Every Day
Arts Every Day connects City Schools with Baltimore City arts and cultural organizations and local teaching artists. We make these connections in a variety of ways.
Arts Every Day’s Arts Directory – a clearinghouse of arts and cultural resources available during schools hours. Teachers can search for and schedule over 500 programs by artists, cultural institutions and art organizations that fit their curriculum and classroom.

5Starr Enterprise LLC is a social entrepreneurship business model focusing on educational services, community outreach and community engagement. We started in the year 2010 and use our educational services to educate and empower the community to take advantage of the growing career paths in S.T.E.M. related curriculums and fields, which in turn will create opportunities in advanced education training and a diverse pipeline workforce.
The Beyond The Natural Foundation (BTNF) is a nonprofit organization that serves to empower the lives of at risk youth through music. Our mission is to serve at risk youth by engaging them in music education and performance to provide expressive therapy and inspiration for creating greater life opportunities. As an organization, our goal is to be at the forefront of providing musical arts enrichment and music therapy for the youth of our communities.
We specialize in the implementation of high quality music enrichment programs and curricula. Our staff of instructors are all currently working and professionally established recording artists, music producers and musicians. From the stage to the classroom these rock star teachers are passionate about their community and focused on positive change in our youth.
